Abstract:The composition of Teager-Kaiser energy operator and sidelobe characteristics of Rife-Vincent window are analyzed in this paper. In order to simplify voltage flicker measurement process based on the IEC standard, the envelope parameters of voltage flicker waveform are rapidly extracted by Teager-Kaiser operator and the envelope parameters errors are analyzed and corrected based on Rife-Vincent window improved FFT spectrum. Voltage flicker measurement algorithm using Teager-Kaiser energy operator based on Rife-Vincent window spectral correction is proposed and established. The simulation results show that the influences on voltage flicker measurement which are caused by the frequency of modulating waveform in change, multi-frequency of modulating waveform, the fundamental grid frequency fluctuations, harmonics and inter-harmonics and white noise, are all overcome by using this approach. Compared with the conventional methods, this approach can be designed and realized easily with smaller calculated amount to obtain precise and steady results, which can be used in voltage flicker online monitoring.
