Abstract:To compensate the negative-sequence, harmonic and reactive power in the electric railway, a novel power quality integrated compensation system is proposed in this paper. It contains a railway static power conditioner (RPC) and two multi-groups thyristor switched capacitor (TSC). TSC is used to compensate the most reactive power, and RPC is used to adjust the active power of the two power supply arm, suppress harmonic and compensate the small remaining reactive power. So the capacity of active power device RPC is reduced, which is good for engineering realization, and combined compensation for negative-sequence, harmonic and reactive is realized. In this paper, the operation principle of the system is analyzed. Furthermore, the collaborative control strategy for RPC and TSC, the reference current detecting and reactive power current distribution method based on reactive power current abruption, and the control method of RPC is presented. Furthermore, simulations and experiments are conducted to test the proposed methods. Simulation and experimental results achieve good performance.
