Abstract:Aiming to the problems of the traditional cascaded inverter produced by severl independent DC power supplies, this paper proposes a kind of cascaded inverter supplied by a separate power source which can realize 7-level output. The two kinds of operating mode of the cascaded inverter are analyzed, and the control method of the inverter is provided. Finally, the experimental results verify the theory analysis. The new type of cascaded inverter not only is simple in control, but also can output high quality waveforms, reduce the number of DC power sources, and improve the utilization of DC source.
