Two-Stage Robust Planning Model and Its Solution Algorithm of Active Distribution Network Containing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Abstract  Based on electric-traffic coupling units to link active distribution network and traffic system, a two-stage robust planning model of active distribution network containing the site selection decision of electric vehicle charging stations was proposed in view of the uncertainty of loads, distributed generation and electric vehicle charging demands. The first stage was used to optimize investment decisions on the basis of considering the feasibility of the second stage, which not only included the location of charging stations, the upgrading and extension of distribution lines, but also the investment of distributed generation, static reactive power compensator, on-load tap changer and energy storage. The operational layer was considered in the second stage, which was used for identification and feasibility detection of uncertain parameters. For the two-stage optimization problem in the form of min-max-min presented by the model, a two-stage solving method combining column and constraint generation with Benders decomposition was adopted to solve it. Finally, a coupling network consisting of improved 33-node distribution system and 25-node traffic system is simulated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithm.
