Abstract  The traditional LCL filter and its improved topologies fail to guarantee that the output waveforms of PWM converter in different bands have good filtering characteristics. The paper presents a new double-trap switching frequency harmonics filter for active power filter named LCLDT filter. The LCLDT filter combines the advantages of LCL, LLCL filter and multi-tuned traps filter. The optimized parameter design method of LCLDT filter is proposed to provide theoretical guidance for its application. Comparison analysis of different filters in same design condition and costs shows that LCLDT filter has more excellent performance, which can meet the grid requirements.
