Abstract In this paper the limitation on power sharing of the conventional droop control is discussed.Then an innovative droop control is proposed,which uses the high and low level of a local pulse to achieve voltage restoration and power sharing,respectively.Furthermore,it is implemented only through the local variables without any communication between DG units or hierarchical control layers,which inherits the merit of conventional droop control and preserves the “plug and play” characteristic of microgrids.The experimental is implemented on the small microgrid formed by two parallel-connected three-phase inverters and the results verify the correctness of the theory and control strategy.
