Abstract This paper describes a two-phase hybrid current-fed push-pull converter with series-parallel regulated primary windings. It is designed for voltage step up applications with wide input voltage range and low input current ripple. With the proposed topology, the structure of the primary windings of the transformers can automactically change to serial or parallel connection according to the duty ratio. In this way, the conversion gain of the converter is extended, which makes this topology suitable for wide input voltage range applications. Meanwhile, interleaved operation reduces the current ripple and inductor size and solves the current sharing problem. The design procedure and the parameters are introduced. A prototype with 20~75V input voltage and 200V/2.5A output has been built to verify the analysis.
