Clock-Interleaved Unified Constant Frequency Integration Control Technique—A New Extension Application of Carrier Phase-Shifted PWM |

Abstract Carrier phase-shifted PWM (CPS-PWM) is a switch modulation strategy for large capacity power electronics equipment. The basic principle of CPS-PWM is presented. The general expression of frequency domain feature of CPS-PWM is deduced from the general frequency domain feature of constant-frequency carrier PWM. This general expression is verified by carrier phase-shifted SPWM. On the basis of this, clock interleaved unified constant frequency integration control technique is proposed which combines unified constant frequency integration control and carrier phase-shifted PWM. Simulation and experimental results prove that the proposed technique can achieve high equivalent frequency output at much low switch frequency with many advantages such as perfect harmonic performance, fast dynamic response, good tracing capability and easy implementation with simple structure, which is very suitable for large capacity power electronics equipment.
