Non-Stationary Voltage Flicker Envelope Parameters Detection Based on Adaptive Variational Mode Decomposition

Abstract  Focusing on the difficulty of non-stationary and time-varying voltage flicker envelope parameters detection, a voltage flicker envelope parameter detection method based on adaptive variational mode decomposition was proposed. Firstly, the voltage flicker envelope signal was rapidly extracted by the Hilbert transform, and then the loss coefficient and energy difference was used as the judgment basis to determine the number of modal decompositions, and the flicker envelope signal was decomposed by the adaptive variational mode decomposition; finally, the instantaneous amplitude and instantaneous frequency was obtained by Hilbert transform and the voltage flicker envelope parameters were confirmed, and the voltage flicker parameter detection test platform based on virtual instrument was developed. The simulation and actual measurement results show that the non-stationary voltage flicker envelope parameters can be accurately detected and analyzed by the proposed algorithm, and the interference of power grid frequency deviation, harmonics and noise can be effectively overcame. Compared with the existing detection methods, this method has higher accuracy.
