Topology Detecting Method of Grounding Grids Based on Morphological Filtration

Abstract  The method of injecting current into the grounding grid to find the peak of surface magnetic induction intensity is often used to detect the grid structure in the existing researches, but this method can hardly identify weak signal and has poor anti-interference performance. In this paper, a method based on morphological filtration is proposed, which can obtain the topological structure of grounding grids by constructing complex morphological filters to extract boundary of the magnetic field. Firstly, based on the analysis of the distribution characteristics of the induced magnetic field, spatial analysis functions are introduced to describe the magnetic field on the surface. And then, morphic erosion and dilation methods are used to filter the original data to eliminate random noise and abnormal data. Finally, according to the connectivity characteristics of grid connectivity, watershed algorithm is used to extract the topology of grounding grids. Simulation and experimental result shows that this method can effectively identify the grounding grids from weak magnetic field data, and it is robust to noise and interference.
