Design of Ultra High Speed Micro Permanent Magnet Motor with Integrated Support Type Based on Multi Coupling Characteristics

Abstract  The ultra-high-speed micro permanent magnet motor (UHSMPMM) is restricted by the multi-physical field characteristics. This paper analyzes the support system, electromagnetic (thermal), structural strength and dynamics of the UHSMPMM. Firstly, combined with the working characteristics of the UHSMPMM and the structural characteristics of the micro-rotor, the integrated supporting system is designed. Secondly, the characteristics of electromagnetic, loss and temperature rise are studied, and the influence of temperature rise characteristics on the structural strength of the rotor is analyzed. The optimization method of the key parameters of the structural strength based on the temperature field coupling is given. Thirdly, the influencing factors and changing rules of the critical speed of the rotor in the integrated supporting system are explored. Finally, according to the multi-coupling analysis and optimization results, a 550 000(r/min)/110W prototype was designed and tested. The results show that the prototype has achieved stable operation, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed design method.
