Abstract  Based on the scaling principle, a half wavelength scale experimental line of length 1.5km is built in the outdoor field, and the working frequency of the experimental line is raised to 100kHz. The experimental study of the half wavelength transmission technology is first carried out. The voltage values at the ends, middle, 1/4 and 3/4 of the lines under different terminal loads are measured, and the point to point and overvoltage characteristics of the steady half wavelength transmission are verified. The test also shows that the point to point characteristics will be lost in the case of extreme load asymmetry, and the number of line sag and the number of transposition segments have little influence on the voltage distribution along the line, and the effect of line length change depends on the terminal load type.
