Abstract  Equivalent impedances of each branch of rotor circuit are deduced based on the 2D-multilayer electromagnetic canned solid-rotor induction motor (CSRIM) model in this paper. Then, mutual leakage inductances of each branch will be calculated by equivalent magnetic circuit method, to evaluate their impact on performance. The practical equivalent circuit of CSRIM suitable for performance computing of motor in normal load range, will be proposed by reasonable simplification. Finally, the practical equivalent circuit is used on the analysis of parameters and operation performance of a model motor.
