Abstract  The uncertainty of wind power will have serious impacts on the safe and economic operation of power system when large-scale wind powers are integrated. In order to have a better consumption of wind power, according to Beta probability function of wind power, an optimization method is proposed based on the costs of abandoned wind powers and interruptible loads. To improve the efficiency of the method, only unit commitment variables are used, and the Delta method is introduced to convert the nonlinear model to linear model. Finally, a numerical example of multiple scenarios verifies the practicability and effectiveness of the method.
Key wordsWind power      unit commitment      probability density      interruptible load
