Hybrid Nonlinear Control System of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Driven by Two Stage Matrix Converter

Abstract  

Many disadvantages have existed in traditional PWM converter and traditional PID controller. Thus, a hybrid nonlinear control scheme is proposed for permanent magnet synchronous motor driven by two-stage matrix converter. Firstly, since the system is easily affected by the power grid and load disturbance, the port controlled Hamiltonian (PCHD) model is found for the rectifier of two-stage matrix converter (TSMC) permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) system. Its strict passivity is proved, and the passive control (PBC) controller based on the interconnection and damping assignment (IDA) for the rectifier of TSMC-PMSM system is designed. The stability of the closed loop system is proved theoretically. In addition, as the adjustment ability of PID controller in speed ring is poor, taken the advantages of nonlinear smooth feedback in active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC), the PI-ADR nonlinear controller with variable integral coefficient is designed. The simulation and experimental results show that the TSMC-PMSM system with hybrid nonlinear control achieves good network-side performance and strong active disturbance capability, as well as good dynamic and static performance.
