Abstract:A novel non-linear control method, pulse train(PT)control technique, is introduced and investigated in this paper. The principle of PT control technique is that it regulates output voltage with two preset control pulses. The controller is easy to realize, and no compensation network is needed. The principle and control strategy of PT control are analyzed and studied with flyback converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode(DCM) as an example. The output voltage ripple and the combination of control pulses in a pulse train repetition cycle are analyzed. The pulse train controller is designed. Simulation and experimental results verify the theoretical analysis results and the feasibility of our controller design.
