Magnetic Crosstalk Characteristic of Unclosed Fiber-Optic Current Transformers

Abstract:The fiber sensing coil of all unclosed fiber-optic current transformers (FOCT) is susceptible to be interfered by magnetic crosstalk and proposes a method that improves the anti-interference ability of magnetic crosstalk.The UFOCT magnetic crosstalk mathematical model is established.The main factors of magnetic crosstalk characteristics contains the unclosed-extent,radius of sensing coil,winding turns of sensing coil and phase distance are obtained through theoretical research and simulation analysis.Meanwhile there are always two best azimuth angles which have UFOCT accuracy immunized magnetic crosstalk.Hereby a optimization method,which set the sensing coil of UFOCT at the best azimuth angle to improve the anti-interference ability of magnetic crosstalk,is proposed.Experimental results are consistent with theoretical analyses and verifies the correctness of the proposed method.The result shows that error induced by magnetic crosstalk reduced from -0.27% down -0.02% with the proposed method,which makes the UFOCT to achieve the 0.2-class standard.
