Abstract:Performance of the narrowband power line communication(PLC) is significantly degraded by high noise on low frequency power line channel. To stationary background noise and time-variant impulsive noise,different noise suppression(NS) methods were proposed. In practical applications,the simple memoryless nonlinearity techniques are often used in order to mitigate the effect of the impulsive noise. Background noise has Gaussion distribute characteristic,in-phase and quadrature components of OFDM symbols meet a linear model. So Karhunen-Loeve transform(KLT) is used to decompose the vector space of the noisy signal into a signal-plus-noise subspace and a noise subspace,exploiting Lagrange multipliers and minimum signal distortion criterion,we derived the linear estimate method of OFDM symbols. Based on the distribution of measurement,a Non-Gaussian model of narrow-band power line noise was derived; according to Physical Layer of G3-PLC,OFDM simulation system was built. Performance Compare before and after NS of OFDM system show the proposed NS approach can improve BER and SNR.
