Abstract:To improve commutation safety of bidirectional switches and ameliorate spectrum characteristic of inverter output, a novel decoupling time-sharing drive method with normal SPWM is proposed for high-frequency link sine-wave matrix converter in this paper. By using this method, the way that two gates use one drive signal in similar converters is changed, and current polarity of load need not be detected, so it is easy to be achieved. Due to bidirectional switches can commutate in safety, switch voltage surge can also be conquered. In this scheme, the frequency-doubling characteristic of conventional single phase inverter is reserved, and the switching performance of power devices is fully utilized, so the filter network can be miniaturized and some faults of phase control be overcome. Simulation and experimental results show that the circuit design is feasible.
