Control Strategy of Three-Level PWM Rectifier Suitable for Direct-Drive Wind Power System

Abstract:With direct-drive the continuous expansion of the power generation system and the three-level PWM rectifier is becoming a research hotspot of wind power technology. Analysis the NPC three-level converter topology and control strategy. Used a SVPWM algorithm based on 60° coordinate system, then the switch state corresponding to the coordinates is converted into an integer to avoid the complex trigonometric calculations and simplify the vector of the three-level rectifier operation. Through the Matlab/Simulink model in a given case of average wind speed, shows that the generator electromagnetic torque has fast response, DC-side voltage response in a short time, and AC current has a good sinusoidal wave.
