Analysis of Magnetizing Characteristic of Laminated Core Based on the DC-Biasing Experiment

Abstract:Predicting the DC flux in the laminated core plays an important role in solving the DC biased problems. A modified iterative method based on consuming function is proposed to predict the DC flux in the laminated core, considering the hysteresis effects and revising the normal magnetizing curve. Comparison between measured and calculated magnetizing currents verifies the effectiveness and validity of the method. The hysteresis loops under DC bias are obtained to analyze the dc-biasing normal magnetizing curves, which is compared with the one without DC bias. A method is presented to fit the DC-biasing hysteresis loops accurately and the core loss under DC bias is analyzed.
