Abstract:The effects of electrode on space charge in high-density polyethylene are measured with the pulsed electro-acoustic (PEA) method. The thickness of the specimens is 100μm. The electrical strength is 50kV/mm. The electrode materials used are Al and semiconductive (SC) polymer. The results show that the space charge injection under negative voltage is much less than that under positive voltage, and that the evaporated Al electrode can effectively suppress the space charge injection.
