Effect of Electric Parameters on Hole Sealing of Micro-Arc Oxided Ceramic Coatings Formed on Aluminum Alloy

Abstract:Using different electric parameters, the micro-arc oxided ceramic membrane formed on aluminum alloy, sealing the holes in aluminum nitrate solution. The research study the effects of hole sealing in different pulse modes, voltages, pulse frequencies, hole sealing times and duty cycles. A large number of experimental studies show that, in double pulse mode, the best hole sealing technology parameters are: frequency was 200Hz, duty cycle was 40%, closed voltage was 70V to 90V, closed time was 30min to 45min. The dynamic potential polarization curves of 5% NaCl (pH=7) shows that, double pulse hole sealing can increase the corrosion resistant of ceramic membrane.
