Abstract In order to identify accurately the key nodes of the power communication network, an analysis method is proposed in this paper. First, a multi-layer assessment model is set up by analyzing the requirements of power businesses on the power communication network and the influence of power businesses on power network. The evaluation indexes are quantified by means of quantitative assignment. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) for asymmetric and incomplete hierarchical structure and the improved entropy weight method based on cloud model principle are proposed to set up the comprehensive importance evaluation system of power businesses. Secondly, according to the actual distribution of power businesses, the weighted network is set up. The key nodes of the network are identified by the improved weight reduction method. Finally, the correctness of the analysis method is verified by the simulation of two power communication networks.
