Abstract With independent and autonomous operation characteristics of islanded microgrid, the internal load is power supplied normally and effectively. Firstly, sequential output model of wind turbine is built. According to different operating strategies and characteristics of energy storage system (ESS), a charge-discharge model of ESS is established. Secondly, based on sequential Monte Carlo simulation, a reliability evaluation algorithm is proposed considering the characteristics of randomness and time sequence. Finally, the reliability of improved RBTS Bus 6 islanded system is evaluated. Evaluation results show that the algorithm can analyze the reliability of islanded microgrid system accurately.
