| Power Supply Design for Voltage Source Converter Working at High Voltage Potential |

Abstract Some power electronic topologies applied in the power transmission and distribution are introduced. How to supply the controller unit of voltage source converter(VSC) working at high voltage potential is one of the key technologies. The demand for the power supply working at high voltage potential is analyzed. Dual-switch flyback DC-DC is suitable for this application through the comparison of several commonly used dc/dc topology. The dual-switch flyback DC-DC is designed and tested through simulation and experiments. Its validity is also proved by its application in the distributed static compensator(D-STATCOM).
