Abstract The magnetic equivalent circuit method of electrical variable transmission system based on flux tubes is introduced and reluctance network is set up. Outer and inner air gap magnetic field is analyzed based on mathematical module established. It is explained that the magnetic circuit equivalent module is accurate because the simulation result is accord with the theoretical study result. The study result obtained by FEM is compared and could be helpful to the design.
