Abstract Firstly, the mathematical and physical model of 3-D fluid and temperature coupling field inside the stator multipath ventilation system are established according to the characteristics of fluid-flow and heat-transfer, which are numerically calculated using finite volume method(FVM) according to corresponding boundary conditions and hypothesis. Then the fluid velocity and temperature of the stator radial ventilation ducts and dimensional distribution characteristics of temperature in every part of the generator are analyzed, and what is more, the temperature field of stator is analyzed. Finally, some useful conclusions are drawn by comparing the calculation result with test value.
