Abstract:This paper proposed a novel sensorless model predictive control strategy for PMSM driven by an improved three-level inverter, to meet the high-power control demand. Firstly, the finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) scheme for the drive system was introduced. By establishing objective function and rolling optimization, the switching states corresponding to the optimal voltage vector were chosen as the future output states of the inverter. Secondly, for the sensorless control of PMSM drive system, this paper designed an observer based on the theory of sliding and MRAS. The observer can estimate the position and speed of the motor rotor. Thus, the stability of the observer was proved. At last, the results of simulations and experiments verify the performance of the observer and the control strategy.
