A Fast Network Reconfiguration Method Avoiding Infeasible Solutions for Distribution System

Abstract:Network reconfiguration technology is one of the important means to achieve distribution system self-healing,and the key point of which is avoiding infeasible solutions.In this paper,different load balancing objective functions are proposed for IEEE 33-node system with a signal feeder and practical distribution system with several feeders.Four encoding rules applied in the harmony search algorithm are presented for avoiding infeasible solutions during the network reconfiguration after analyzing the drawbacks of the exiting methods.The accuracy,feasibility,and engineering practicality of the proposed method to avoid infeasible solutions is proved by the simulation results.
