Abstract:Single-PWM converter without DC capacitor is one of the new power converters with reduced capacitor or reactor, which has many merits, such as simple structure, high voltage utilization, low switch-loss and so on. The key problem of this topology is how to implement safe-commutation of rectifier. Base on analysis of operation principle of this converter, theory research is done about rectifier commutation control, voltage utilization, SVPWM with compensated DC voltage fluctuation of inverter, valid rectifier commutation algorithm and optimized SVPWM technology are derived. Simulation and experiment have validated the designed algorithms, which can be used in practice.
