Abstract:To solve the problems of complex arithmetic and difficult expandability in the direct-computed multi-phase space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) control, a novel multi-phase carrier based PWM control method based on zero-sequence injection is proposed. The proposed method can improve the output voltage characteristic through injecting some zero-sequence signal to the standard sine signal, and high performance can be realized as the SVPWM. The theory of the new method is introduced, and range of the zero-sequence signal is deduced. Several classic zero-sequence signal realization methods were given, and the feature is discussed. Theoretical analysis and experiment results show that the multi-phase carrier PWM method based on zero-sequence injection has the advantages of simple realization, good performance and easy extending.
