Abstract:For the permanent magnet synchronous motor with similar number of poles and slots, its noise and vibration characteristics possess many particularities. From the magnetic field, first, the flux density distribution expression produced by permanent magnet in fractional-slot permanent magnet synchronous motor under the stator tooth chamfering condition is analyzed. Then, the harmonic amplitudes with different tooth chamfering angles are calculated by the derived analytical expressions. Finally, the impact on noise and vibration of the motor is calculated and analyzed by the finite element method(FEM) and analytical expressions. The results show that the vibration and noise of surface- mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with similar number of poles and slots can be effectively reduced by using the method of stator tooth chamfering.
