Abstract:According to a horizontal hydro-generator units exported to Vietnam, this paper briefly introduces the overall size and structure characteristics of the rotor part. The capacity of single unit is large (rated power for 6 750kW, rated speed for 1 000r/min), for simplifying unit structure, raising efficiency, the rotor part is overall forged by the spindle and the magnetic yoke, the magnetic poles are fixed by dove-tail、taper key and two bearing arrangement (turbine and generator share a root spindle). The methods of establishing FEM model and analyzing finite element are presented a through the example of stress analysis for a two fulcrum horizontal hydro-generator rotors and poles under runaway speed operating condition, and computed results are analyzed and summarized. In analysis process, the Pro/E modeling integrating with ANSYS simulation are realized, model establishment and finite element analysis are finished by the software. The results show that the spindle and the structure of the magnetic poles reach the design requirement, compared with the traditional calculation method, its precision can more satisfy engineering demand, and the efficiency is high. This method can provide guidance for the related product design.
