Abstract:For high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM), a new sensorless control strategy based on hypothetical reference frame was presented. This control strategy could accomplish field orientation without estimating rotor position and achieve the maximum ratio of torque to current. After theoretical analysis of this new strategy, the control system was established and then simulated using Matlab/Simulink, and the simulation waves turned out to be consistent with the theory analysis. A verification test has been accomplished on a high speed PMSM with the rated power of 75kW, in the speed of 27 000r/min. The result indicates that the performance using the control strategy can realize the maximum ratio of torque to current under the speed of the 27 000r/min.
