Abstract:An approach based on the cumulating index of the assessment for the voltage stability performance of power grid is proposed. Firstly, the information for each load node of voltage amplitude on power grid is gained by the dynamic simulation capabilities. Secondly, different period information of signal energy is calculated by different period signal energy spectrum. Thereby, the optimal length of the sequence required for stability analysis is determined by the fluctuation intensity theory on kinetic, and the weak node of voltage stability in power system is conformed by constructing a new criterion that is named as cumulating index. Finally, taking the operation mode data about the winter of 2010 in Shandong power grid for calculation example, the proposed method is effectively validated by the results on the Thevenin equivalent theory and P-V curve theory, respectively. Thus, the method presented provides a novel effective approach for the departments on operation and planning for power grid.
