Abstract:This paper focuses on double line voltage synthesis control scheme for matrix converter. A novel sector partition pattern is proposed, which reduced the number of 3 phase output voltage sectors by half. In this way, the novel method reduces the input and output voltage sectors combinations by half. In this paper, the proposed method is explained in details, and mathematical rules for sector partition and expressions for duty ratios are derived, thus, the implementation of the control scheme is simplified. The presented method is equivalent to traditional strategy both in principle and performance, and the symmetric output voltage is achieved even under unbalance input, which inherits the advantage of traditional control strategy. The feasibility of the new sector partition method is proved through simulation and experimental results.
