Abstract:The characteristic of present AC-AC converter technology is analyzed in this paper, and the AC-AC converter with continuous wave heads based on plugged pulse principle is presented. Some simulation and experimental researches are carried. After the traditional circuit topology of three phases ac voltage-adjusted is altered properly, a new type of three phases AC-AC converter circuit topology is attained. The frequency and amplitude of output voltage are adjustable respectively or simultaneously through turn-on and turn-off of power devices. The waveform of output voltage is more approximate to sinewave when the duty cycle of high frequency chopping signal is changed regularly according to the sine rule. The chopping control fashion of equal pulse width and variable pulse width are analyzed particularly according to the area equivalent theory. The algorithmic expressions of duty cycle with two kinds of control fashion are deduced out. On the foundation of the above contents, three phases AC-AC converter system is simulated under the environment of PSPICE, and the valid experiments are completed. The simulation results are in consistent with experimental results, and the same as the theory analysis entirely. So the new principle of three phases AC-AC and topology in this paper is verified to be proper and feasible.
