Abstract:This paper is based on the high power AC electrical locomotive, and the vector control based on the low switching frequency is researched. Through the study on the modulation methods under low switching frequency, a multi-mode modulation strategy is used. Based on the control of rotor flux amplitude and its angle, it can achieve accurate control of the electromagnetic torque under different modulation methods or inaccurate parameters which can lead to incorrect field orientation. Besides, the control method in square wave is researched. In the end, the simulation and experiment verify the effectiveness of all the methods.
