Abstract:The measurement accuracy of optical voltage sensor is susceptible to the influence of the environment temperature. A reference voltage source is designed in this paper. The reference voltage source is used in series with the measured voltage source, which work together to the same optical voltage sensor. A self-calibration algorithm is designed to achieve the self-calibration coefficient. The measurement results of the optical voltage sensor are modified through the self-calibration coefficient. Based on the above method, the self-calibration optical voltage sensor is designed, and its accuracy is tested. Test results show that the measurement error of the designed self-calibration optical voltage sensor is less than ±0.12% in the temperature range of -40℃~+70℃, which indicates that its temperature stability has improved significantly. This method is simple and effective, and which offers a solution to the realization of practical application of high precision optical voltage transformer.
