Abstract:Firstly the light distribution standards and requirements of urban road lighting are introduced. And then the common design methods and principles achieving road lighting rectangular spots for LED street lamps, including single light source reflective optical system, refractive optical system of total internal reflection and freeform surface lens optical system, compound eye optical system and LED array planar arrangement optical system, multi fold arrangement optical system and radial arrangement optical system are given. Finally, a research expectation in this field, including direct optical lens technology, integrated packaging technology and illuminant module technology is discussed.
