Study and Realization of a Three-Level SVPWM Fast Algorithm Based on Coordinate Components

Abstract:A series of improved space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) algorithms are comparatively studied. The essential difference between them is the coordinate system on which the algorithm based, which causes the difference of position judge and calculation difficulty. A novel algorithm is proposed, which based on a new coordinate system strictly symmetrical with all sectors and small areas. Reference vector position judge and calculation time can be easily done only after calculating the coordinate components. Compared to conventional algorithms, it has better real-time, because trigonometric operation and vector argument calculation are avoid. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified via experiment.
