Abstract:Polymer based inorganic nanocomposite dielectrics have drawn much interest in the field of dielectrics due to its excellent electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. This paper reviews the recent research advancement and progress in polymer based nanodielectrics. The structure characteristic, dielectric properties including the corresponding mechanism are discussed. The emphasis is put on the characteristic of interface structure and dielectric properties such as electrical resistivity, dielectric permittivity and loss, electrical strength, resistance on corona aging, electrical treeing aging, traps, space charge, etc. The prospect of research on nanodielectrics is described.
