Abstract:In the renewable energy power system with two or more sources, the application of multiple-input converter(MIC) instead of several single-input converters can simplify the circuit and reduce the cost of the power system. MIC can be categorized into two lists, MIC without buffer cells and MIC with buffer cells. In this paper, a new method for synthesizing MICs without buffer cells is proposed. By analyzing the topologies of the single-input DC-DC converters, the basic cells of MIC are proposed. According to the presented synthesizing rules, a series of MICs without buffer cells are generated.
