Abstract:The harmonic balance method is applied to a voltage-mode Buck converter under PI control and the expressions of the input-voltage bifurcation points are derived. Then the relationship between the parameters of PI controller and the bifurcation points are obtained by using numerical calculation. The conclusion that the stability of fast-scale behaviour in the voltage-mode Buck converter mainly depends on the proportion factor of PI controller is confirmed. The impact of the time-delayed feedback control (TDFC) to the bifurcation points is discussed. Finally, the simulation and experimental results about the bifurcation control of Buck converter with the TDFC method are presented, which confirm the correctness of the proposed analysis method and the validity of the control method.
