Abstract The PI parameter setting of double closed-loop vector control of voltage source PWM rectifier is very important and largely depending on experience with few references available. In this paper, how the L、C values and PI parameters influence the output DC voltage waveform, AC side harmonics and power factor are studied by simulation in Matlab/Simulink, and based on which a simple and normalized method for the control system design and PI parameter setting is proposed. Some examples are given to illustrate the application of this method.
