Pseudo Derivative Feedback Control for PMSM Drive System |

Abstract Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is a multivariable nonlinear system with strong coupling. It is sensitive to the load and parameter disturbances. In order to improve the robustness of this system, the pseudo-derivative feedback (PDF) control strategy is applied to the PMSM drive system. The paper describes the PMSM speed drive system based on the PDF controller, deduces the transfer functions and the differential equations, and analyses the static and dynamic performance of PDF regulator. On the same condition, the two regulators are compared through simulation and experiment research. The results show that the output response of PDF regulator is faster without overshoot and oscillations. Thesystem is not sensitive to the change of motor's load and parameter.
