| An Overmodulation Algorithm and Its Application in PMSM Drive With Flux-Weakening Control |

Abstract A novel overmodulation algorithm for space-vector PWM inverters is proposed. The advantage of the proposed method is easier to implement. It can be computed online. And it needs no look-up table. The proposed strategy, which is easy to understand graphically, incorporates two modes of the overmodulation in single mode. And the output voltage can vary continually from linear zone to six step zone. According to this algorithm, a flux-weakening control method of PMSM with the voltage close-loop control is presented. It doesn’t need precise parameter and variable of motor. The experimental results are given, and the theoretic analysis is verified by experiments.
