Sensorless Control of PMSM with Positive and Negative High Frequency Pulse Voltage Signal Injection

Abstract  Sensorless control of PMSM with positive and negative high frequency pulse voltage signal injection has been proposed. The single-phase-locked loop angular position information extraction method based on current response in rotating coordinate system has been studied to simplify the algorithm structure. By overlaying DC voltage on the continuous high-frequency injection voltage, accurately determine of the magnetic pole direction has been realized based on the amplitude of current oscillation. Experimental results on a 400W PMSM test bench verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
