Abstract Aiming at the load adaptive problem of electric-field coupled power transfer (ECPT) system and how to ensure the constant voltage output characteristic of the system under a certain range of load change, a constant voltage ECPT system with load adaptive characteristics is proposed based on T-type CLC resonant network. The characteristics of T-CLC resonant network are analyzed. The expression of system output voltage independent of load resistance is derived. The steady state models of the system under no-load and normal loading conditions are established and the design method of system parameters is given. Simulation and experimental results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the ECPT system and its parameter design method.
